Grayson County is excited to welcome our essential visitors back to our beautiful region! Visitors to Grayson County and our Appalachian neighbors drive much of the local economy: we need your support during this difficult time.
While many of our attractions are open for business, some continue to recover from Hurricane Helene damage. As we rebuild and reopen, please refer to the lists below to keep up to date on where to visit.

- Grayson Highlands General Store & Inn: Takeout menu only; no indoor seating. Hours: 8-3:30 Monday-Thursday. 8-5:30 Friday. 9:30-3:30 Sunday. Please call the Store for updates: 276-579-4602
- The Virginia Creeper Trail: Closed indefinitely from Whitetop Station to Damascus. Open from Damascus to Abingdon. Please refer to their website for updates.
- Fishing in DWR trout streams*
- George Washington & Jefferson National Forests
- The Appalachian Trail: Portions of the trail have reopened. Please refer to their website for details. NOTE: ‘OPEN’ does not mean ‘CLEAR’. Exercise caution around downed trees and washed-out trails.
- The Blue Ridge Parkway: Open Milepost 0 through to the NC border in VA. Closed at the NC border. The Parkway isPARTIALLY closed throughout Western North Carolina until further notice. Please refer to the National Park Service website for updates on closures.
- Corner Market & Cafe: Store is open, Cafe is closed until further notice.

- Blue Ridge Music Center: Will reopen from Novemer 1-November 10. Closed for the Winter. Check their website for information on their “Sounds of the Mountains” concerts at the Yadkin Performing Arts Center.
