LOCAL MUSICAL PRODIGY, MADELYN PEMBERTON RETURNS to the HISTORIC 1908 COURTHOUSE
SUNDAY, MAY 4th at 6:30pm

The Arts Council of the Twin Counties is so excited to announce the return of Madelyn “Mimi” Pemberton for our Sunday, May 4th Winter Concert at the Historic 1908 Courthouse in Independence. Madelyn who has just completed her graduate studies at UNCSA, is a “local girl made good.” A graduate of James Madison University, academically and musically gifted, Madelyn will continue post-graduate studies at UNCSA where she will earn a Professional Artist Certificate in Performance and Pedagogy. A reception will follow the Sunday, May 4th performance, and admission to the concert is free of charge, though donations are gratefully accepted at the door.

Madelyn Pemberton is a classically trained pianist, performing since she could reach the piano keys! Since beginning lessons at the age of five, Madelyn has performed with acclaimed ensembles and competed in numerous national and international music competitions. Her artistry has been described as “bringing every performance to life, captivating both colleagues and audiences alike.” Her May 4th program will included works by master composers Bach, Mozart, Schubert, Ravel, and Brahms.
