Give Me Liberty: Virginia and the Forging of a Nation

In partnership with the Virginia Museum of History and Culture and the Virginia 250 Commission, Grayson County Tourism will host a traveling historical exhibition at the Historic 1908 Courthouse in Independence.
Commemorating the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, Give Me Liberty highlights Virginia’s leading role in the American Revolution. It explores the continental and global forces as well as the actions of both iconic and ordinary people that brought about a model of democratic government that changed the world.
This traveling exhibition will be on display at the Historic 1908 Courthouse in Independence, VA for the month of April, Monday through Friday from 10 AM to 4 PM.
Each Wednesday, the Courthouse exhibition and Tourism Gift Shop will be open until 8 PM in conjunction with the weekly Courthouse Old-Time Jam.
Admission is free.
Please join Grayson County for the opening reception of the Give Me Liberty exhibition on Wednesday, April 2, from 5 to 7 p.m in Baldwin Auditorium at the 1908 Courthouse.
