Always the second Saturday in October, this festival is sponsored by the Town of Independence and the Historic 1908 Courthouse. It includes Virginia’s only Official Grand Privy Race! See dare-devil racers push their wheeled outhouses down main street for prizes and bragging rights!

On the lawn of the 1908 Courthouse you will be able to browse the wares of craft vendors from the region. Sample festival-style eats on our back lawn as you watch the races.
