Located at milepost 213 on the Blue Ridge Parkway, near Galax, Virginia, the Blue Ridge Music Center celebrates the music and musicians of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Enjoy Saturday evening concerts under the stars in the spacious outdoor amphitheater in the shadow of Fisher Peak Memorial Day through Labor Day, featuring regional and national touring bands playing bluegrass, old-time, folk, blues, and roots-based Americana music. The visitor center is open May through October, and includes an indoor interpretive center, theater, gift shop, and The Roots of American Music museum with a permanent exhibition highlighting the historical significance of the region’s music and its continued influence on many forms of folk, rock and popular music made across America today. Enjoy music on the covered breezeway every day the Music Center is open featuring local bluegrass, old-time, and folk music. The museum and Midday Mountain Music are free of charge.
